Why psychosexual therapy for pelvic pain?
Pelvic pain doesn't stay in the body. It shapes intimacy, relationships, self-esteem, and how you move through the world.
Many women with vulvodynia, vaginismus, or endometriosis are offered general therapy or generic CBT, but the mind–body cycle of persistent pelvic pain needs a specific kind of clinical understanding.
Bloume's psychosexual therapy is built for exactly this. Every session is led by a clinician trained in pelvic pain specifically, not a generalist adapting broader tools to a niche condition.

Dr Claudia Chisari
PhD, CPsychol · Chartered Psychologist & Psychotherapist
Sessions are led by Dr Claudia Chisari, a Chartered Psychologist and Psychotherapist with training in psychosexual therapy and over a decade of clinical and research work in pelvic pain. She has the first PhD in Vulvodynia at King's College London, developing online psychosexual support specific to women living with vulvar and pelvic pain.
Her approach is warm and direct, grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and compassion-focused work, and shaped by having sat on both sides of the consultation. She is one of the world's top 10th most cited scientists in Vulvodynia, continuing her work in research and supporting women who experience pelvic and vulvar pain.
Claudia has Vulvodynia herself. That's why sessions start from belief rather than explanation, you never have to convince her the pain is real.
